Credit Risk Model Development Team

Background: River were retained by a large European Banking Group to fill two critical VP hires in their Credit Risk Model Development team. Upon submitting the shortlist and scheduling interviews, River were approached by a senior contact in the market who asked for a confidential introduction to the client. Due to the seniority of the contact in the market, there were sensitivities around how the introduction could be made.

The search: River subsequently filled the retained VP mandates in 10 weeks and also went on to place the senior contact in a separate part of the business in that period.

The outcome: The success in managing these processes led to River’s brand being significantly enhanced across the modelling teams and therefore being selected as one of three key suppliers across the function. River have gone on to place 6 other placements in the team and continue to play a key part in the ongoing buildout of the Risk Modelling function at Group Level.
